Part of a body of work created for the History Repeats exhibition at Manly Art Gallery, this series connects the ghost signs of the historic Sydney Quarantine Station to the signs we engage with now every day, telling us where to stand and how far apart and which direction to go in. The over-printing process and the hand-stitching express layers of loss and care and significance, all settled in a large circle - the spy hole through which the arrivals were observed, and today in COVID, the pause button on our lives.
