Moonbirds + moon + button grass
A one-off multiprint using an early silkscreen of a flock of birds based on a lino print of a local grey currawong, and then layered with my button grass screen and a huge imperfect circle shaped moon.
The base cloth is a piece of overdyed cotton sateen in a delicious carnelian red that I dyed years ago and overprinted it with muted olive, pale grey, copper and chocolate. Rather nice this one.
You would probably want to turn this one into an artwork or a cushion cover.

CARE* The cotton sateen is a lightweight fabric. It has been heat-set, so it's washable. Use cool water with a mild detergent. After washing the texture of the fabric will show through. It's this worn-in, imperfect look that we like best.
