Artwork on wood. Banksia Top Right
The Bangalay sand forest is an endangered ecological community in NSW, stretching along the coast from Sydney way down south. I went there to do lots of drawings, then turned the drawings into silk screens. Printed on found pieces of plywood these works are warm and textural and one offs. The technique of overprinting the screens and working into the shapes with lines and dots evokes the layers of vegetation along the NSW south coast. Each artwork in this series is part of a familiy yet created to stand alone as unique and individual pieces too.
Overprinted screenprint of native botanical drawings on found plywood. Finished and protected in beeswax. Flat panel unframed. Artwork dimensions are 18cm x 22cm x .5cm.
I'll package up your artwork carefully in bubblewrap, and send it out to you through Australia Post. It costs AUD $22 to Australian addresses, and roughly double that, if you live overseas.
