Banksia twig cushion on stone linen
This new hand printed cushion cover was just made in March this year. It is is one of a very small batch printed in my studio using a combination of overprinted silk screens. This time I've used Coastal Banksia, Twig of Conifer and my Native Fern prints, printed onto a pure stone coloured linen with a muted colour palette of shadowy greens and natural bark colours.
Cushion cover only.
100% natural linen, 50cm x 50cm with invisible side zip.
Each cushion in a batch is a one off, yet all closely related - like an extended family.
The small variations in placement, printing and colour are all a part of what makes each piece unique. And that, in a nutshell, is why I love handprinting. The inconsistencies, unexpected results, the occassional thumb print and endless variations that happen as part of the process is what makes my heart sing and has kept me making for over 27 years!
Returns and Shipping
If you're not happy with your cushion I am happy to accept a return so long as it is within a couple of days of receiving the parcel. But please get in touch for a chat before you do that, thank you.
One cushion cover costs AUD $7.00 to send out to Australian customers through Australia Post. If you live in a different country, it will be approximately double that.
These days I prefer to sell just the cushion covers on line. This might seem a bit annoying but I do it to keep the freight costs down. There are some great sustainable cushion insert manufacturers around and although squishy feather cushion inserts feel luxurious and old fashioned like our Grandmas ones did, these days I'm not so sure about the ethics behind using animal bits to rest my head on. So instead, I recommend buying direct from a company such as innergreen.com.au who use recycled plastic bottles in theirs. Bouncy, soft and animal cruelty free.
