Artwork on wood. Banksia Pinstripes

The Bangalay sand forest is an endangered ecological community in NSW, stretching along the coast from Sydney way down south. I went there to do lots of drawings, then turned the drawings into silk screens. Printed on found pieces of plywood these works are warm and textural: the technique of overprinting the screens and working into the shapes with lines and dots evokes the layers of vegetation along the NSW south coast.
