Brisbane Look Draw Print Workshop Saturday
WORKSHOP SOLD OUT! In this small group workshop, you'll learn to simplify the complex structure of native plants through my LookDrawPrint process. You will leave with a single large-scale multi-layered motif printed on fabric, like this beauty made by Danielle Rochecouste in early May.
Time & Location
06 July 2019, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Side Gallery, 7 Emma St, Red Hill QLD 4059, Australia
About The Event
The recent LookDrawPrint Workshop at Side Gallery during BAD produced excellent work. There were a lot of people who missed out, so I'm coming back to do it all again.
You'll learn to loosen up, reconnect with your creativity and make your own hand printed artwork on fabric. Working with simple tools and a basic stencil print process, you'll be learning skills I've been honing in my own design work over the past 25 years. The workshop is dynamic, challenging, playful and productive.
You'll explore mindful creativity, embrace chance and become friends with imperfection to make your own unique multi layered artwork. Prior printmaking experience isn’t necessary – this is a workshop that anyone can do. I love it when beginners come along. Becoming more creative is just a matter of using that creative muscle. LookDrawPrint is a way to kick-start that process.
These are accessible, inclusive workshops, open to any one over the age of 16. The groups are small - only 8 per class - and very popular, so make sure you book early. Sorry this workshop is now full.
