Rough Track Workshop

When we were little kids, we all drew. It felt good and natural - it is - and you can get back there. Past the self consciousness and back to the great pleasure and flow of drawing, in a way that's loose and intuitive. There's six spots for this experimental drawing workshop on a Saturday morning.

Sorry, this workshop is full.

About the event

EveryoneCanDraw is an experimental drawing workshop, and my response to the huge number of people I meet who express a desire to draw, and a belief that they can't. So many people have what Dr Brené Brown calls 'shame wounds' from art classes at school, where their work got low marks or they were told they couldn't really draw. If you want to tend those wounds, this workshop is very healing.

EveryoneCanDraw is designed to shift you past the self-consciousness and fear and blockage and get you to reset your good self. Through observation, you'll look and respond to what you see, in a way that's gestural and energetic, rather than slavishly literal. You'll learn how to draw mindfully and loosely, and reconnect with play, which is so important for our mental health. It won't feel anxiety-inducing, it will feel relaxing and liberating.

These are accessible, inclusive workshops, open to anyone over the age of 16, and there's just six spots to be had. All equipment is provided and afternoon tea is included.

If all the tickets have gone for this workshop, email me to go on the waiting list.
