About the event

Julie Paterson, the Woman of Cloth, has been drawing upon the local landscape as the source material for her textile designs for over 20 years. She has now simplified her creative methods into a three step process that she’s made into a workshop. She calls it LookDrawPrint. The process is dynamic, productive, challenging and playful. And it’s hands on from the start. You'll develop new ways of looking and a fresh approach to making. Using the local environment as the starting point you’ll explore creative mindfulness, embrace chance and imperfection and produce your own unique prototype textile design directly onto fabric.

Working alongside Julie in this relaxed and focussed space is a great opportunity to start or extend your own creative practice. Beginners are particularly encouraged because deep down we all know that creativity is an attitude before it becomes a skill. So be prepared to get your hands dirty, work hard and have fun.

All materials are supplied. Bring an apron and lunch.

Book directly through North Sydney Centre.
