Big Girls Blouse - Black Green Waratah
An artwork you can wear for best-practice sustainable fashion. Every Big Girls Blouse shirt I make is a labour of love, that takes many hours to create.
Sourced at an op-shop by my friend Helen, who has a particularly good eye, this shirt has been re-loved and hand-printed. Now it’s a one-off gender-neutral shirt or over-shirt (some might even say, a shacket) that would suit a stylish human.
Black Green Waratah is printed on a grey striped, floppy generously cut linen Industrie shirt. It says it's a medium on the label but it seems pretty big to me. The three colour Waratah stencil motif is one I made for my exhibition at The National Trust Everglades House in Leura, in the Blue Mountains in February 2026.
See SPECS below for this shirt’s measurements.
Specs
Stencil print on pre-loved shirt. Pre-washed and heat set ready to wear. There may be a small imperfect smudge or thumb print somewhere on this shirt. We all know by now that this is all part of the hand made process, so embrace it with pride.

Care
For care of this garment, hand washing is my preference, but not essential. It can be washed in a machine on a gentle cycle with water no warmer than 30 degrees. Line dry in the shade.
