Big Girls Blouse - Stacked + Stripey
An artwork you can wear for best-practice sustainable fashion. Every Big Girls Blouse shirt I make is a labour of love, that takes many hours to create.
Sourced at an op-shop by my friend Helen, who has a particularly good eye, this shirt has been re-loved and hand-printed. Now it’s a one-off gender-neutral shirt or over-shirt that would suit a stylish human.
Stacked + Stripey has a series of abstract shapes printed on a jaunty blue & white candy striped Hardy Amies ( think English tailoring, Saville Row) shirt in a smooth luxurious cotton. The label says 41. The shape is big and generous, slouchy even.
I cut off the collar and cuffs and the bottom hem to make the shirt feel less formal and ran the machine over the raw edges a couple of times. I also did a bit of visible mending under the armpit as there was a bit of wear and tear, right there.
This shirt feel classy, confident and ever-so relaxed.

Specs
Stencil print on pre-loved shirt. Pre-washed and heat set ready to wear. There may be a small imperfect smudge or thumb print somewhere on this shirt. We all know that this is all part of the hand made process, so embrace it with pride.

It costs AUD 18 to ship by registered mail with Australia Post.
Care
For care of this garment, hand washing is my preference, but not essential. It can be washed in a machine on a gentle cycle with water no warmer than 30 degrees. Line dry in the shade.
