Laughing Kookaburra
The original Kookaburra (aka Dacelo Gigas) artwork, made using my favourite cut paper stencil process, was made in 2017 when I was Artist in Residence at The State Library of NSW.
The other day I came across that original artwork safely stored in my old plan chest and thought it would be make a great digital print.
Kookaburras are common throughout Australia and they are loved dearly. We currently have a pack of 5 young adults that hang out in the garden, looking for the frogs in our pond. We often watch them from our kitchen window sitting on a branch intently waiting to catch their next meal.

Printed on archival cotton rag paper with Stephen, my favourite and very local, fine art digital printer, in an edition of 10.
