Hairpin Banksia
Also known as Banksia Spinulosa, this hairpin banksia image was originally created as a one off cut paper stencil artwork on my art residency at The State Library of NSW, back in 2017.
Here in the Blue Mountains, on our property, we have about 5 or 6 different Banksia varieties, with the hairpin Banksia being the most prolific. That lovely gingery orange colour glows through the bush for months at a time. The native birds love them - probably as much as me.
