Brisbane LookDrawPrint Motif Workshop
In this new, small group workshop, originally developed for the Sydney Design Festival, you'll learn to simplify the complex structure of native plants through my LookDrawPrint process. You will leave with a single large-scale multi-layered motif printed on fabric.
Time & Location
11 May 2019, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Side Gallery, 7 Emma St, Red Hill QLD 4059, Australia
About The Event
In this LookDrawPrint Motif workshop you'll learn to loosen up, reconnect with your creativity and make your own hand printed artwork on fabric. Working with simple tools and a basic stencil print process, you'll be learning skills I've been honing in my own design work over the past 25 years. The workshop is dynamic, challenging, playful and productive.
You'll explore mindful creativity, embrace chance and become friends with imperfection to make your own unique multi layered artwork. Prior printmaking experience isn’t necessary – this is a workshop that anyone can do. I love it when beginners come along. Becoming more creative is just a matter of using that creative muscle. LookDrawPrint is a way to kick-start that process.
This workshop is part of BAS 2019 - the Brisbane Art and Design Festival. The groups are small - only 6 per class - and very popular, so make sure you book early.
